Join us for Matt Cohen’s talk about wild mushrooms. In this introduction to the world of mushrooms, you'll learn about their ecological roles and major groups, and what traits to look for to identify a mushroom. Matt also will identify some local deadly poisonous mushrooms and some local edible mushrooms in Northern Virginia. Matt Cohen is an outdoor enthusiast and naturalist based in Silver Spring with a particular interest in mushrooms, plants, and birds. More information here ([link removed]) .
