Law enforcement response to Uvalde school shooting was a 'failure,' DOJ says
John, it’s Roland Gutierrez.
A new report from the U.S. Justice Department confirms what we already knew to be true: Children’ lives may have been saved if officers had responded differently to the gunman who opened fire at Robb Elementary School in 2022.
The events of that day scarred our nation, the state of Texas, and the entire Uvalde community.
The report from DOJ proves that these failures don’t happen in a vacuum. They happen because police are failed to act when millions of guns circulate in our communities.
I represent Uvalde. I feel the pain. I see the devastation. And I’m not going to stop fighting until we eradicate gun violence once and for all. Enough is enough.

Loose Republican gun laws are killing our children. And Ted Cruz is directly responsible.
If you're ready to defeat him and replace Cruz in the Senate with a real Texan, please pitch in to my campaign today.
