Last year he made significant progress toward our goal of cutting homelessness in half statewide by 2026 — and this year, the work continues with new plans to develop at least a dozen new kauhale villages, creating safe havens for those who need shelter and services.

Beyond homelessness, our housing crisis continues to affect working families — that's why Josh took emergency action to pave the way for faster approvals and construction of thousands of affordable housing units, benefiting local families, including teachers, nurses, and firefighters.

Governor Green also fought for greater access to healthcare with the HELP program — his plan to help repay student loans for healthcare professionals working in needed health specialties like mental health, addiction, and children’s health — especially in rural and underserved communities.
