There is no question that many employers were prime candidates for the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) . However, aggressive marketing companies and bad actors started flooding the market, which prompted the IRS to implement a processing moratorium while it figured out how to implement better scrutiny and verification for ERC filings. This course will inform prudent employers on their next steps and what to expect from the IRS in the coming months. Along with recent ERC updates, attendees will learn the particulars surrounding the Corporate Transparency Act that is set to impact a significant amount of businesses. Registration for members of the Chamber is free. Prospective members may register for $20. All registrants will receive the Zoom meeting link in the confirmation email upon registration.
