Due to the recent COVID-19 school and child care program closures, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) is extending the FY 2021 ECBG RFP submission deadline until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15. Applicants who already submitted their application in response to the FY 2021 RFP may revise, amend and resubmit their applications by the extended submission deadline. The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) has issued Fiscal Year 2021 (FY21) Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Early Childhood Block Grant:

Proposals are due on March 23, 2020 no later than 4 p.m. (Funding is subject to appropriation by the Illinois General Assembly.)

It’s important to note that existing grantees do not need to complete an RFP to maintain current funding. However, grantees may apply for additional slots by submitting an application.

ISBE has indicated that a technical assistance session will be held via recorded webinar and posted to the Early Childhood website in the next few weeks.
