Economic Liberties has a busy event schedule this January, with timely virtual workshops we’d love for you to join us at this week and next. Here’s a refresher on what’s coming up:
Tomorrow, January 18: How States Can Throw Junk Fees in the Trash Our state and local policy program is hosting National Economic Council Deputy Director Jon Donenberg, along with State Reps. Pisciottano (PA) and Ortiz (AZ), to discuss how state legislators can ban excessive and deceptive junk fees — those bogus charges called “convenience” and “service” fees that plague your purchases. By our count, 5 states have already introduced legislation to ban junk fees — and we expect that number to only go up!
