As a first-generation Mexican-American, my story reflects the dreams and struggles of many in New Mexico’s 2nd.
I never envisioned myself running for Congress. But in 2017, when I saw all the hateful things far-right extremists were saying about people like my mother — who is a proud Mexican immigrant, single mom and hard worker — I knew New Mexico needed someone who would step up and fight for all of the hardworking people looking to achieve their dreams.
