AG says fake GOP electors can't be prosecuted, recommends law changes
SOURCE: SANTA FE NEW MEXICAN

That’s right: The five fake electors who filed election certificates falsely declaring Donald Trump the winner of the 2020 election can’t be prosecuted under current New Mexico law — meaning they won’t face ANY consequences for trying to rig a presidential election.

But Attorney General Raúl Torrez is recommending the law be changed to bring fake electors to justice, and frankly, we couldn’t agree more.

John, do you agree that the people who tried to throw out YOUR VOTES and RIG the 2020 election should be prosecuted fairly?? Let us know by taking this one-question poll:

YES
NO

People who attempt a direct attack on our democracy shouldn’t get off scot-free — period.

Here’s the thing, John: New Mexico could see a repeat performance in 2024 if fake electors don't face consequences for their actions. Holding accountable anyone who tries to undermine our free and fair elections has never been more critical.

We need to know: Do you agree with AG Torrez that fake electors should be prosecuted? Take our one-question poll now→
