Despite COVID-19 disruption, consumer demand for alcohol remains strong
The U.S. alcohol beverage market has not experienced major disruptions because of the COVID-19 outbreak and consumer demand for alcohol remains strong, according to industry experts. Distributors continue to deliver to their partners through the supply chain. If needed, they will be able to efficiently balance the mix between core alcohol beverages and other need-based products.
The COVID-19 situation and social distancing continue to increase alcohol delivery sales. The delivery app Drizly saw an over 3% growth rate compared to earlier in the year. Delivery apps have adopted additional safety protocol measures to help protect the health of their drivers and customers.
