Deadline for Draft Temporary Non-Preferred Status Policy Due Jan. 31, 2024

HB 3286, 88th Legislature, amends Section 531.072 of the Texas Government Code to grant temporary non-preferred status to new drugs available on the Medicaid formulary but that have not been reviewed by the Drug Utilization Review Board and established criteria for coverage.

The HHSC Vendor Drug Program (VDP) will accept stakeholder comments [ [link removed] ] on a draft policy for this change until Jan. 31, 2024.
