Trump Plans Aggressive Expansion of Electoral Map, Promises “Heavy Play for Virginia” in 2024 

Donald Trump is planning a “heavy play” for Virginia in 2024, according to a newly released interview he conducted with Breitbart this week. 

He said he intends to compete in states Republicans haven’t won in many years in presidential elections -- and plans to do rallies in these states throughout the campaign.

Take a look:

Look, we’d love to say Trump has no chance of flipping Virginia into the red column. But we know from recent events that isn’t true: 

• Virginia was a GOP stronghold for half a century before Barack Obama won it for the Democrats in 2008.
  
  
• In 2021, Republican Glenn Youngkin shocked everyone with a resounding victory.
  
  
• National Republicans are obsessed with flooding Virginia with GOP dark money to unseat Tim Kaine and secure Virginia’s Senate seat.
