Hi John —

Three years ago today on January 6, 2021 – my third day in Congress – an angry violent mob attacked the U.S. Capitol to overturn the 2020 election.

President Trump and several far-right extremists in Congress deliberately incited this brutal attack on our democracy.

We cannot allow January 6th to ever happen again.

As we prepare for another presidential election this year, those who caused the insurrection must be held accountable.

We must stand united against political violence and extremism.

Will you stand with me today and add your name to our petition: [[link removed]]

To this day, Donald Trump and his allies in Congress continue to spread lies about their vicious attack on our democracy. Sadly, a recent poll shows one in four Americans believe Trump’s blatant lies about January 6, 2021.

We cannot allow anyone to rewrite history. For the sake of our democracy, I ask you to join me today in pledging your unwavering support to hold the extremists responsible for January 6 accountable for their actions: [[link removed]]ADD MY NAME [[link removed]]

I’ll never forget the courage and strength of the Capitol Police, members of local law enforcement, and the National Guard. Our nation will always be indebted to those who defended our Capitol and stood up for our democracy.

Gratefully,

Marilyn
