Footage in ad draws parallels between Nazi Germany and the modern pro-Palestinian/anti-Jewish movement. Calls on Jewish Democrats to vote Republican “before it’s too late!”
Mid-December, the Andrew Gutmann for Congress Campaign unveiled their first digital/tv ad called “Switch.” It calls for Jewish Americans, especially Jewish Democrats, to consider the history of anti-Semitism and to vote Republican to preserve Israel and America. Israel and America’s shared Judeo-Christian heritage is a thematic under-pinning of the ad and has been a significant part of Gutmann’s campaign messaging.
“America, Israel, and Western Civilization are under attack,” said candidate Andrew Gutmann. “While the Hamas terrorist massacre was shocking, what has been just as shocking is to see the pro-Palestinian rallies across America and Europe in support of the massacre. These celebrations are a result of decades of anti-Western critical theory being pushed on our young people, theory that designates the entire Western world and Israel as colonial oppressors that should be eliminated. Now, the White House is bending to pressure in their own party and from ‘The Squad’ to call for Israel to stop defending herself. The best way to fight back against this hideous doctrine is to vote Republican and toss radical leftist leadership out of the White House and halls of Congress.”
The ad begins with footage of the Nazi Holocaust ([link removed]) , transitions to images of the Hamas massacre, and includes a voiceover by candidate Andrew Gutmann as follows:
I grew up hearing my parents and grandparents saying, “Never Again.”
But it’s happening again.
The same woke radicals teaching our kids to hate America rejoice with Hamas.
This isn’t FDR’s Democratic Party anymore.
It’s time to make the switch, to take a stand for America, for Israel, before it’s too late.
I’m Andrew Gutmann, proudly Jewish, running for Congress, and I approve this message.
