On Jan. 3, 2024, the Liquor and Cannabis Board took the following action:

*Proposed rules filed ? Public comment period now open: *

The Board approved a rule proposal (CR 102) to amend WAC 314-02-1071 [ [link removed] ] on the term ?trade area? as used in RCW 66.24.630 [ [link removed] ]. The rule proposal now includes language exempting spirits retailers owned by Tribes and Tribal enterprises, located in Indian Country from requirements prohibiting operating within 20 miles of an existing spirits retailer.
