It’s LUDICROUS, friend.

It’s been 30 years since I first discovered chromium-6 contaminating drinking water in Hinkley, Calif. And it still ain’t over. Not even close. EWG’s latest estimate is grim – that this cancer-causing chemical is in the water supply of 251 million Americans.

And the toxic “forever chemicals” known as PFAS? Forget about it. They’re believed to be in the water supply of more than 200 million Americans.

It’s downright INEXCUSABLE that the government’s still not protecting Americans from dangerous chemicals in our drinking water.

EWG analysts worked around the clock to publish a national drinking water database that gives YOU the information the government won’t.

But this crucial work can’t continue without your support. EWG is racing to meet its 2023 budget goals so it can do even more work to protect our water, including updating its groundbreaking Tap Water Database. If it doesn’t succeed, people like you could be kept in the dark.

If you ask me, these chemicals should be studied long BEFORE they hit the market or contaminate our water and the public is exposed to them over extended periods of time. It’s reckless.

When I found out there was toxic pollution in my drinking water, I learned the hard way that often we simply can’t rely on the government or corporations to put our well-being first. We need to advocate for our health.

That’s exactly what EWG does. Their top-notch scientists and advocacy teams cut through the nonsense and keep the public informed about the harsh truth behind chemicals like PFAS. They don’t just talk; they push the government to finally DO something.

It’s up to us to make sure our children and grandchildren have the right to clean, safe drinking water. Please, chip in whatever you can RIGHT NOW so EWG can meet its 2023 fundraising goals. We simply can’t afford not to have EWG continue its critical work.
