Happy New Year from Livable California

We won't be having a teleconference this weekend - have a great Holiday break.

We have a Matching Gift offer, through January 1. It's just in time, since we still need $1300 more to pay upcoming bills. Please Donate Now.

The 2024 Legislative Session starts Jan 3. We've received three bill notifications for the session. These are 2-year bills that didn't make it out in 2023:

AB1554 (Patterson, Joe) California Environmental Quality Act: exemption: wildfire fuels reduction projects. (Introduced-2/17/2023). Set for hearing 1/8/2024 A-NATURAL RESOURCES 2:30 p.m

SB 689 (Blakespear) Local coastal program: conformity determination. Set for Hearing 1/9/2024 S-TRANSPORTATION 1:30 p.m

SB 827 (Glazer) San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District: Office of the BART Inspector General. Set for Hearing 1/9/2024 S-TRANSPORTATION 1:30 p.m

At our last Teleconference, Attorney / Bill Analyst Stu Flashman took us through our report card rating all legislators on last session's performance against Livable California's positions. He also discussed the amicus brief he has filed for us in the SB 10 Lawsuit. You can see it on our YouTube channel here.
