Dear John,

I’d like you to meet Savreen. She enjoys hiking and listening to crime podcasts. But lately, her life has been tough. Her anxiety and depression have increased since the start of COVID and continue to intensify. Inflation puts added pressure on her finances, making it difficult for her to afford basic needs.

Savreen’s depression makes it difficult to get out of bed for days at a time. And when her anxiety spirals, she feels stuck in an endless loop that she can’t break out of. Her relationships with family and friends have suffered.

With the right support, she could manage her mental health more effectively.

But she doesn’t know where to begin. Without insurance, she lacks access to mental health resources.

And, even if she did have insurance, the increasing demand for mental health services in Northern Virginia makes it difficult to find providers who aren’t booked out for six months.

Savreen’s story is not unique. Over the last 3 years, NVFS has seen a significant increase in the demand for mental health services.

As a multi-service organization committed to serving trauma survivors and individuals facing critical life challenges, one of our priorities is to provide mental health support to anyone who needs it.

Will you donate now to help Savreen and many others like her access counseling and therapy services?

Your gift will provide Savreen with the mental health support she needs to take back control of her life.

With gratitude,

Kathleen
