Our movement has had a major impact in 2023.
In March, we commemorated our 5th anniversary as a movement. That’s 5 years since we organized the largest single day of protest against gun violence in history. 5 years of mourning together. 5 years of standing up and fighting back. 5 years of calling BS when our leaders say they can’t do anything about the American gun violence epidemic.
This summer, we secured an incredible victory when the White House created the first-ever federal Office of Gun Violence Prevention. MFOL was one of the first in the movement to call for this office, and it only succeeded because we drove young people to the polls in record numbers, elected gun safety champions up and down the ballot, and never stopped demanding our leaders be held accountable for this preventable violence.
But this year hasn't been all good news: Earlier this month, the U.S. surpassed the previous record for most mass shootings in a single year.
It’s chilling that year after year we continue to see gun violence increase when we KNOW there are easy, tangible actions our leaders can take right now.
They should’ve done it after Sandy Hook. After Parkland. After Buffalo. After Uvalde. After Lewiston. After UNLV.
So, when I say our work matters more than ever, I really mean it.
Your support of our movement keeps us going through our greatest wins and the most devastating tragedies.
In 2024, we need all hands on deck to hold our leaders accountable and fight to save lives. Can you make your first donation of the campaign right now?
Our movement is fueled by you — every time you sign a petition, show up to a rally, or make a donation, we notice. And right now? We need you to chip in before the end of the year to help meet our $50,000 fundraising goal.
Thanks for everything,
