Friend,

I served in Afghanistan and nearly lost my life.

But given that I’m writing to you today, God had other plans.

I’ve always been a man of faith, but that fateful day made me realize just how infinite God’s love can be.

When I was serving in Afghanistan, my vehicle was caught in an explosion from a roadside bomb.

Doused in fire and diesel fuel, I thought that my life was coming to an end. 

I thought I was alone, but when I heard the four words “sir, I’ve got you,” there was a glimmer of hope that my story would continue.

Friend, it’s not a mere coincidence that help arrived for me when I needed it most. It was a blessing from God telling me that He wanted me alive.

From that moment, I knew that I would dedicate whatever time the good Lord gave me to serving Him and serving others.

That’s what brought me to run for the U.S. Senate in Nevada.

To say that Washington has some issues would be the understatement of the century.

Decades of corrupt politicians looking out only for themselves have left our nation’s capitol hollowed out and dysfunctional.

But you deserve a servant leader who looks out for you.

In the U.S. Senate, it will be my duty to look out for everyday Americans, not corrupt politicians or special interests.

But those corrupt politicians and special interests won’t go down without a fight. That’s why I need your help.

This election could be the most expensive in Nevada’s history. My career politician opponent has already raised millions of dollars to defeat me.

That means I’m going to need your help, Friend.
