Dear John,

Merry Christmas!

As we gather this year to celebrate the birth of Jesus and the lessons of love he brought to the world, I want to take this opportunity to wish each one of you a Merry Christmas! This Christmas season, I am thankful for my family, our wonderful home in central Illinois, and the privilege to represent the 16th Congressional District of Illinois. Like many of you, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share this holiday with those who matter most to us.

I want to also take a moment to thank our troops during this holiday season, especially those serving overseas far away from their families and loved ones. It's because of those brave men and women that we are able to live safely in the United States. 

While we are all blessed with a wonderful community in Illinois, it is important during the Christmas season to not forget those who are less fortunate. This year has been a challenge for so many across our state, and those of us who are able should take time during the Christmas season to return our blessings and find a way to give back to those in need.

As we look to the New Year, I am excited about the opportunities ahead for Illinois and our country. I am grateful for the honor of representing our communities in the 16th Congressional District and I look forward to seeing you in 2024!
