Merry Christmas, Central Washington!

As the year inches to a close and we enjoy time spent with loved ones, I want to extend my warmest wishes to you and your family for a safe and joyous holiday season.

Christmas is a time to be grateful for the many blessings we have and join together in friendship and community. This year, I encourage you to look beyond the material gifts and food that I know many of us will be enjoying and celebrate the common threads that weave us together.

During the holiday season, I will be spending time in Central Washington and with loved ones, and I look forward to connecting with you all again in the new year.

This Christmas, I wish you good health, a blessed holiday, and a bounty of cheer and joy.

Sincerely,

Congressman Dan Newhouse

Getting Back to Central Washington

This week, I was honored to visit United Way in Yakima.

While there, I had the opportunity to connect with local staff, learn more about the important work their organization does, and discuss upcoming projects.

Building stronger, more resilient communities is critical for Central Washington, and I was thankful to see their work up close.

I was also pleased to join People For People at the Union Gap Senior Center to serve a Meals on Wheels lunch to the residents.

I truly enjoyed my conversations with some of the amazing seniors in our community and feel so fortunate to contribute to such an important cause.

This week, I also had the opportunity to tour Swan Graphics—a local screen printing and embroidery business providing vocational business training to local young adults.

Participants are taught important business skills as well as public speaking, sales, and interpersonal interaction.

Speaking with these bright young adults was an incredible opportunity, and I look forward to seeing all the great work Swan Graphics continues to do.

I also had the opportunity to visit with local agricultural producers in Klickitat.

While there, we discussed important issues such as last year's fire response, WOTUS, irrigation, and the 2024 Farm Bill.

I always value the time I spend getting to hear from our farmers firsthand, and I remain committed to continuing these crucial conversations.
