Foxx Report

As long as House Republicans have the majority in the People’s House, we will continue to hold wrongdoers accountable – that includes members of the Biden crime family – no matter where they go or what evasion tactics they may use. Last Wednesday, Hunter Biden was scheduled to attend a deposition before the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, but instead of following through with his obligations before the committee, he chose obstruction. Just minutes before he was scheduled to arrive for his deposition, he appeared on the Senate side of the Capitol building, held an impromptu press conference, and regurgitated a scripted word salad in which he claimed that both he and his family were completely innocent and not guilty of any wrongdoing. House Republicans have gathered evidence indicating otherwise, and the facts and financial statements back up our continued investigation.

One line that was particularly interesting from Hunter Biden’s statement was that his father, Joe Biden, was not financially involved in the business transactions conducted by his own family. If he was not financially involved, what role did Joe Biden play? The evidence we’ve uncovered thus far, as I have relayed to you in newsletters past, is that Joe Biden met with the various business associates of his son, and that his name was squarely in the middle of the family’s business strategy. Aren’t you curious about this as well? I sure am.

As Chairmen Comer and Jordan have said, Hunter Biden’s defying of lawful subpoenas means that we will now move forward with contempt of Congress proceedings. I have said this many times before: having the last name of “Biden” does not make one immune to the law or accountability. As you know, last week, House Republicans passed H.Res.918, an impeachment inquiry resolution that allows us to continue our investigation into the Biden family, uncover more evidence, and bring even more transparency to the American people. Simply put, the brazen corruption and obstruction that we have witnessed from the Biden family – especially last week – must be met with unyielding accountability. This is an imperative that remains at the forefront of our work.

A New Resource

In the wake of the December 5th hearing with the presidents of Harvard, UPenn, and MIT, members of the Education and Workforce Committee have received numerous messages from across the country from those interested in sharing cases of antisemitism at their respective institutions. In order to assist those who are being targeted, I have announced the creation of a Committee-run email dedicated to college students, faculty, and concerned community members who are interested in reporting cases of antisemitism on campus. Having a centralized reporting system allows the Committee to receive, review and act on credible cases of antisemitism. I believe this resource will play an important role in helping the Committee conduct its investigation and bring real accountability to institutions that are failing their students and faculty.

My Latest Interview

Recently, I joined Griff Jenkins on Fox News Live to talk about the catastrophic state of our nation’s southern border, and how House Republicans have passed H.R. 2, the strongest border security package in our nation’s history. If the Senate is as serious as we are in securing the southern border, they will pass this package and put pressure on President Biden to sign it. The House has done its job and led the way – the Democrat-controlled Senate and the President would do well to follow our lead.
