John –

This week, I introduced legislation to stop the DEI initiatives that have corrupted the culture on college campuses across the country. I also spoke out against the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to remove President Trump from the ballot and the continued illegal immigration crisis at our southern border.

As I gear up for my re-election campaign, I need the support of committed patriots like you from across the country. With a small contribution, you can help ensure I have the resources I need to win my race and continue fighting for you on the issues that matter most in Congress. You can donate here, and I greatly appreciate your continued support.
As always, thank you for your continued support. Now, here’s your brief.
ELON MUSK IS RIGHT: DEI NEEDS TO DIE
“DEI must DIE. The point was to end discrimination, not replace it with different discrimination.”

That is what Elon Musk said recently about the so-called “diversity, equity, and inclusion” movement that has swept across America in recent years and corrupted core institutions in our country.

Perhaps no institution has been harmed more by DEI initiatives than America’s college campuses.

We see the utter moral bankruptcy in higher education with the spread of antisemitism on college campuses.

The presidents of some of America’s Ivy League universities cannot even say that calls for genocide against Jews amounts to a violation of their codes of conduct.

Make no mistake - this is a direct byproduct of the DEI initiatives that have infected America’s universities.

That’s why I’m fighting back.

I just announced new legislation to halt federal funding to colleges and universities that force students to sign or make DEI statements.

My bill will ban places of higher education from compelling students, staff, or applicants to endorse an ideology that promotes the differential treatment of an individual or group of individuals based on race, color, or ethnicity.

This is what is needed in order to change the culture on college campuses from incubators of woke, progressive, and often antisemetic nonsense to their original purposes of advancing educational excellence.

The rot that we’ve seen spread across America’s universities is a direct result of the heightened focus on DEI in recent years, and it needs to stop.
THE COLORADO SUPREME COURT DOESN’T UNDERSTAND DEMOCRACY
The decision by the Colorado Supreme Court to remove Donald Trump from their presidential ballot is un-American and unconstitutional. Moreover, it reflects a profound misunderstanding and disrespect for American democracy.

To unilaterally remove the right of Colorado’s voters to cast a ballot for their preferred choice for president, without any due process whatsoever, is an obvious overreach that must be corrected. For all the talk from the left about Republicans “destroying democracy,” this decision from Democrat judges in Colorado represents a subversion of democracy on a level we have not witnessed before.

The United States Supreme Court must immediately reverse this decision and it should be a 9-0 ruling in favor of keeping Donald Trump on the ballot. There are several other states considering similar efforts to remove Donald Trump from their respective ballots, which is why it is critical that the Supreme Court step in now to right this obvious wrong.
MULTIPLE CRISES PILING UP ON OUR SOUTHERN BORDER
The surge in illegal immigration at our southern border - caused and allowed to continue by Joe Biden - have caused a multitude of crises to pile up.

We have a crisis of sovereignty, with virtually no ability to control who is coming into our country. We have a crisis of security, with militant cartels flooding fentanyl into America and killing tens of thousands of our citizens every year. And we have an economic crisis brewing, with the chaos at our border disrupting critical rail operations that facilitate trade between the United States and Mexico.

Joe Biden and Democrats are finally understanding the need to address this problem, mostly because they understand it represents a serious political vulnerability for them. But don’t be fooled by the solutions they’re proposing to address it.

Joe Biden likes to brag that he has requested money from Congress to address the border crisis. But the money Biden is requesting won’t do anything to fix the actual problem - all it will do is make the problem look prettier. Biden wants resources to ensure we’re not seeing massive lines at our border, to make the illegal immigrants more comfortable as they wait to enter our country, and to gloss over the images we see every single day with thousands of illegal immigrants flowing into our country.

This problem doesn’t need money thrown at it. We need serious policy changes, including reforms to our asylum laws to prevent bogus asylum claims and reforms to parole laws to prevent illegal immigrants from being released into our country with no plan to deport them. We also need to reinstate the Remain in Mexico policy that deterred illegal immigration during the Trump Administration.

All of this could be achieved right now if the Biden White House engaged in serious negotiations with the Republican-controlled House instead of the Democrat-controlled Senate. The Republican House majority needs to demand that any further aid to Ukraine is tied to serious policy changes at our southern border so we can finally get this crisis under control.

I will continue to push for this when Congress returns in the New Year.
