John — Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to be the GOP’s favorite antagonist for insults and attacks. But if investigating Donald Trump for his efforts to involve Russia in our elections makes me a “threat to our democracy,” as George Santos recently claimed, I say bring it on. If investigating and impeaching Donald Trump means Kevin McCarthy calling me a liar, kicking me off the Intelligence Committee, and supporting a partisan censure against me, I say bring it on. And if Donald Trump himself wants to call me “shifty Schiff” or a “sleaze bag” or “pencil neck” for holding him to account again (and again, and again), I say bring it on. I wear their enmity as a badge of honor, John. The insults and attacks show that I have been effective and they fear what I will be able to do in the Senate — and I’m not taking my foot off the gas when it comes to defending our democracy from MAGA extremists.

Thanks for having my back through all the attacks and insults. I can confidently say, “bring it on” because I know you have my back. — Adam
