Here is your personal update on the Virginia Senate race between Tim Kaine and… well, a whole lot of Republicans.

Nine GOP candidates have announced their intention to challenge Tim for Virginia’s U.S. Senate seat in 2024 -- that’s more challengers than any other incumbent Democrat in the Senate is facing.
National GOP cash is set to flow into Virginia at a record pace.
Media outlets are raising alarm bells. The Washington Post said we have “reason to worry” about losing Tim’s seat, andFiveThirtyEight called Virginia a “‘pickup opportunity”’ for Republicans.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee — the organization responsible for securing GOP control of the Senate in 2024 — is out for Tim Kaine, including VA in their targeted state victory efforts and funneling cash into the Commonwealth to fund Tim’s eventual opponent.

This might seem bleak, but unfortunately, it’s our reality heading into 2024.

Here’s the good news: It doesn’t have to stay this way.

Democrats are fighting hard to win critical races in 2024 and defend the Senate majority — just like this one right here in Virginia.
