No matter how long the current outbreak lasts, HIAS will continue to provide
critical services to refugees and asylum seekers.Dear John,

The COVID-19 outbreak is scary and disruptive. Yet even as we focus on keeping
up with the news and making changes to our daily lives, the world’s refugees and
asylum seekers still deserve our attention and support. No matter how long the
current outbreak lasts, HIAS will continue to provide critical services to
refugees and asylum seekers and to advocate for the rights of all who seek
safety from persecution.

In the 16 countries where we operate, HIAS is cooperating with healthcare
providers and host governments to share necessary information with the people we
serve and make sure they have access to the life-saving care they need. Here in
the United States, we will continue speaking out against any attempts to falsely
blame migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers for the spread of coronavirus.

We will continue to provide you with updates in the weeks ahead as we work to
continue to welcome the stranger and protect the refugee.

Thank you for standing with us,

Team HIAS
