John, Earlier this week, the Colorado Supreme Court decided that Donald Trump was constitutionally ineligible to run for president in 2024 due to the 14th Amendment, which states “No person shall … hold any office, civil or military, under the United States … who having previously taken an oath … to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same.”

As a result, Colorado’s Secretary of State has been ordered to remove Trump from the ballot in the state’s upcoming Republican primary.

And almost as soon as the ruling came down, Fox News came out swinging on behalf of Trump.

While the response from Fox News and other right-wing media outlets is disappointing, it’s certainly not surprising. After all, if those organizations hadn’t amplified Trump’s Big Lie following the 2020 election, the insurrection on January 6th wouldn’t have happened in the first place.

But wall-to-wall outrage after the ruling is noteworthy because it makes one thing abundantly clear: Fox knows Donald Trump is going to be the Republican nominee, and they will do and say anything to help him win.

Fox News is ready to serve as Trump’s mouthpiece again in 2024, just like they did in 2016 and 2020, John. We can’t let them go unchecked. The good news is that Courier Newsroom is already gearing up to fight back against Fox's lies and propaganda.
