When I was elected to Congress, one of the first things I had to do was find a part-time residence in D.C., and what better way to get to know the city than with a housemate! And I got really lucky with my housemate and fellow Freshman Democrat, Representative Morgan McGarvey (KY-03)!
As brand new members of Congress, Morgan and I experienced a slew of surprises when we arrived in Congress, mostly new levels of extremism and dysfunction at the hands of the GOP. But, we also got to share many new (positive!) experiences, learn about each other’s districts, and renew our commitment to protecting working families across the country.
So as we both head into our first reelection year, I have a request:

Let me tell you a bit more about Morgan:
Morgan is a lifelong Louisvillian who now proudly represents Kentucky’s 3rd congressional district. As a Kentucky native, he has devoted his life to serving the people of his state, serving a decade in the Kentucky State Senate before running for Congress.
Like myself, Morgan deeply cares about bettering the lives of Americans and has been a devoted supporter of public education, organized labor, and abortion rights. He has always put the needs of working families first in his policymaking.
And just recently, he passed his first bill in Congress to protect the education benefits of veterans, and it passed unanimously! As a freshman!
Morgan is a rising leader in Congress, and we need to make sure we continue to have his voice in the People’s House.
