LaCava's Column IS RECESS AT SAN DIEGO CITY HALL A VACATION? Legislative Recess is not a vacation. During this time, the council does not formally meet as a legislative body. Therefore, this period provides a valuable opportunity for me to work on drafting, reviewing, and conducting outreach for my 2024 legislative priorities. Additionally, it is an ideal time to meet with community members both in City Hall and throughout my district neighborhoods. How is Team LaCava using Legislative Recess? Updating Budget Priorities using the Five-Year Outlook Updating my 2024 legislative priorities, which include: Recuperative Care Parks and Rec Staffing North PB Lifeguard Tower Accelerating Utility Undergrounding Enforcement for Sidewalk Vending and Short-term Vacation Rentals Talking with YOU, our District 1 Constituents Contact My Office CARMEL VALLEY MINI CLEANUP SUCCESS Our Carmel Valley Mini Cleanup removed over 1,000 pounds of recyclable material and over two tons of non-recyclable waste for a total of nearly three tons removed from your neighborhood.
