Dear John,

Here’s a little story to brighten your day.

Six-week-old puppy Moon was found in a box outside in the rain. Today, she’s busy hiding treats around her foster home and getting all the snuggles—because of you.

Moon was an emergency case from Chicago Animal Care and Control, the city pound. We had to send a last-minute rescue ride to pick her up. It took four days of intensive care at our Medical Center, but soon Moon was well enough for a foster home where, today, she’s thriving.

During recovery, Moon is getting three meals a day to help her build strength. Now more than double her original weight and clear of mange, her fur has grown in and she's really just a fun-loving, normal puppy.

Moon follows her foster mom around like a little shadow. She’s learning to walk on a leash and likes to pick up treasures along the way, like acorns, leaves, and sticks. And when left alone, Moon gathers all her foster’s shoes from the closet in the living room.  ("Thank goodness, she hasn't damaged a pair yet!" her foster reports.)

All of this happiness was made possible by your support. On behalf of Moon, all the animals you’ve helped rescue, and all the animals we have yet to rescue, thank you for being part of the PAWS community.
