Monday, May 6, Opening Session

Healthy Futures is excited to welcome the Changing Lives Youth Theatre
Ensemble to the 2024 Symposium! This ensemble of teen artist-activists
create and tour original, youth-led performances focused on violence
prevention, healthy relationships, and social justice. Every spring the
ensemble tours their original show across greater Austin, at area middle
schools and in community settings.

Monday, May 6, Closing Session

We'll wrap up the first day of the Symposium but a big round of laughter!
Mayra L. Reyes, LCSW-S, will show us why (and how!) laughter can make us
feel more energetic and healthy. She will lead participants through a
session of Laughter Yoga, which combines laughter exercises with yoga
breathing causing an increase of oxygen to the body and brain. Mayra is a
Clinical Associate Professor at UTRGV and a Certified Laughter Yoga
Teacher.

Tuesday, May 7, Opening Session

If you are a professional who devotes your time to serving young Texans,
you are a leader. In this session, Eboni Lunsford Calbow, LCSW, PhD will
discuss the real meaning of leadership and why you shouldn’t rely on
systems to highlight the important work that you do everyday. Dr. Calbow is
part of the leadership team for the Youth and Families-Integrated
Behavioral Health Scholars Program with Dell Medical School, and founder
and CEO of Elixir Austin + Elixir Therapy, both behavioral health
practices.

Our registration fees cater to a diverse range of preferences, ensuring
