John, by this time next year, your donation will already be too late.

A New York Times/Siena College poll has Donald Trump leading Joe Biden in five of six key battleground states:

  • Trump leads Biden by 11 points in Nevada
  • Trump leads Biden by 6 points in Georgia
  • Trump leads Biden by 5 points in Arizona and Michigan
  • Trump leads Biden by 4 points in Pennsylvania
  • Biden leads Trump by 2 points in Wisconsin

Look, I don’t read too much into any one poll, particularly a year from an election. Polls go up, and polls go down.

But it’s impossible to ignore the REAL possibility that we could be facing a second Trump term. This election is going to be close, and the stakes couldn’t be any higher. We need to do more to lift President Biden and Democratic candidates. It’s URGENT that we start now.

I don’t want to have any regrets a year from now that we could have done more today to prevent such an outcome, John. That’s why I’m asking you to make the single greatest impact a grassroots donor can have by committing to a $3 monthly recurring donation to my campaign, starting today:

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your monthly recurring donation will go through immediately:

If you’ll allow me to peel back the curtain just a bit, grassroots fundraising simply isn’t where it was at this point during our last fight for the White House.

The truth is, it isn’t even close.

POLITICO reported earlier this year that “The political economy may have just hit its recession,” noting that “the well is drying up.”

In the first half of the year, grassroots donations were down 50 percent compared to 2021.

That means we’ve been preparing for a bigger election in 2024 than we were in 2022 with a lot fewer resources.

I don’t want to imagine what a second Trump term could do for voting rights, civil rights, LGBTQ+ equality, abortion rights, or the environment — but consider this New York Times headline: “Why a Second Trump Presidency May Be More Radical Than His First.”

I don’t want to think about the types of Cabinet nominees — the Jeff Sessions, Betsy Devoses, and Scott Pruitts of the world — that he would heap upon the Senate for confirmations.

I don’t want to think about the possibility of Trump nominating a FOURTH Supreme Court justice to the bench.

But if our fundraising doesn’t begin to turn around — and quickly — then those are some of the hard conversations we’ll have to be prepared to have.

It’s definitely not too late to act — John, will you start a $3 monthly recurring donation to my campaign today to help me defend the Senate and defeat Trump? I need you with me for the long haul.

We can’t beat around the bush any longer. President Biden is not guaranteed a second term. But we must do everything we can to prevent radical MAGA Republicans from retaking control of our government. If we step up, I know we can do it.

Thanks for pitching in if you can.

With love and gratitude,

Cory
