The Times: Deadliest year yet for mass shootings in US

Demand Congress to pass a federal Assault Weapons Ban today.

john,

Since the start of the year, Americans have had to witness senseless acts of gun violence over and over. Today, there are over 40,264 Americans - including over 1,600 children have lost their lives so far, making this year the deadliest year yet for mass shootings in the US.

This level of violence is unacceptable and has Americans demanding change and action.

Yet, in response to the latest mass shooting, our Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, said that the "problem is the human heart, not guns," while offering nothing more than thoughts and prayers.

This inaction is wrong, and it will only continue to put more lives in danger.

Parents shouldn't have to worry about guns in schools, and their children shouldn't fear for their lives. And if Republicans won't legislate, then it's time for them to get out of the way of those trying. Kim's fighting to get deadly weapons of war off our streets. Are you with her?

To win back the House majority, we must re-elect Rep. Kim Schrier in WA-08. Will you chip in to protect Kim's seat and reclaim the House majority in 2024?
