John – This week, House Republicans authorized an impeachment inquiry into President Biden - a necessary step to force the White House to comply with our investigation into Biden family corruption. Congress passed my legislation to fund research into psychedelic treatment studies for active duty service members suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injury. And I called on Republican leadership to seize a historic opportunity to force Biden and the Democrats to secure our southern border. Since announcing my re-election campaign last week, I’ve been filled with gratitude by the outpouring of support from my constituents, donors, and supporters from across the country who say they’ve got my back. We need serious legislators – not political opportunists who want to be social media stars – to do real work in Congress for the American people. If you are able to contribute even a small donation to my re-election campaign, I promise I won’t let you down in the fight for the most important issues our country faces in the coming years. WHY I VOTED TO AUTHORIZE AN IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY INTO BIDEN CLICK HERE TO READ MORE This week House Republicans voted to authorize an impeachment inquiry into President Biden. This is a necessary step to force the White House to comply with the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into Biden family corruption. Some Democrats are going to say there is no evidence against Joe Biden, and that Republicans are wasting time on a wild politically motivated goose chase. I’d be the first one to tell you if this vote was politically motivated and unwarranted. But this impeachment inquiry is absolutely justified. Here are just a *few* of the findings from the House Oversight Committee: 20 shell companies created by the Biden family, mostly while he was VP Biden’s home address listed as the beneficiary address for two wire transfers from China, totaling OVER $250,000 The Biden family and their associates raked in over $24M from foreign governments between 2015-2019 A direct payment of $200,000 to Joe Biden $40,000 in laundered China money …Again, these are only a few of the findings. There’s enough smoke here to warrant a real investigation with some real subpoena power. MY BILL TO STUDY PSYCHEDELIC TREATMENT FOR ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS PASSES CONGRESS CLICK HERE TO READ MORE My legislation to provide grants for further research into the use of psychedelics to treat active-duty service members suffering from PTSD and TBI was passed by Congress this week as part of the NDAA. For years, veterans and private sector citizens have had access to similar clinical trials, with phenomenal results. Recent Phase 3 clinical trials with MDMA found that 86% of the study participants had reduced PTSD symptoms and 71% didn't even qualify as having PTSD anymore. I personally know many veterans whose lives were saved by just a few treatments. Many active-duty service members are suffering the same demons that follow us home from war - but they cannot legally access psychedelic therapies. Their only option is to visit clinics outside the U.S. and risk being discharged from the military. Our service members deserve better. This legislation is not about legalization or recreational use. It’s about honoring our promise to our military families and fighting back against the high incidence of suicide in the military community. NO UKRAINE FUNDING WITHOUT BORDER SECURITY CLICK HERE TO WATCH House Republicans have a historic opportunity to force Biden and the Democrats to pass border security. But we have to use negotiations over additional Ukraine aid to get border security measures passed into law. There’s a sensible deal that can be made if the Speaker takes action and starts negotiations. Letting the Senate negotiate was never going to work. Why? Because Senate Democrats don’t have enough incentive. They’ll get re-elected. But Biden won’t, especially if the border crisis continues through the election season. Some “hardliners” on our side are scoffing at the idea of trying to get a deal on the border done in exchange for Ukraine aid. They say the topic of Ukraine aid is too toxic and so they can’t even support border policy changes if it has Ukraine aid attached. Ok, well that should tell you that they don’t actually want the border situation to improve. Because Ukraine aid is the only available option for us to make some changes, whether you like that reality or not.
