Dear John,
In the midst of the worst refugee crisis in history, more than 70 million
refugees and displaced people worldwide need help from the international
community to find safety and freedom.
Yet the current administration has made drastic cuts to the number of refugees
the country will admit. It’s unacceptable, and we must speak out.
HIAS is doing everything we can to help refugees during this crisis – but we
can’t continue our work without you. Will you take the pledge now to support
refugees?

Refugees face daunting levels of uncertainty and danger. All over the world,
voices spreading hatred and bigotry are emboldened, directing political anger
and violence toward the “other.” At HIAS, our resolve is stronger than ever to
support those fleeing persecution.
Thousands of years of Jewish history teach us the profound importance of
welcoming the stranger. This core value drives our mission every day here at
HIAS. We’ve fought for refugees in the courts, on the streets, and on Capitol
Hill, and our resettlement and assistance programs provide desperately needed
aid to refugees in the United States and around the world.
We’re building on a longstanding tradition of supporting refugees
internationally and helping them resettle in America – and we need you to join
us in this critical work by speaking out in support of refugees today.
Please, [[link removed]] John, join us by taking the pledge now to support refugees.
