[ [link removed] ]MONTANANS FOR TESTER

   Hey John,
I’m spending today on the farm, butchering the good-fed Montana beef I
picked up two weeks ago. Sharla and I will bring it with us to Washington
in a suitcase because it’s what we’ve done year after year, and Montana
meat is the best in the world.
While it may seem like a hassle to some folks, butchering your own beef is
a part of our way of life out here—I know the rancher who raised it, so I
know exactly where it came from and how healthy the animal was.
As the Senate’s only working dirt farmer, this isn’t the only thing that
sets me apart from my colleagues.
Farming the land my grandparents first homesteaded has instilled in me a
strong sense of work ethic and a perspective that most politicians don’t
   get the chance to have.
I know what it means to grow up in rural America—to have to drive long
distances to the nearest hospital, to rely on your neighbors and
community, and yes, to butcher your own beef.
I’m running to protect our way of life in the Last Best Place. I’ll stand
up to anyone to defend our Montana values but I need our grassroots team
to help keep me in this fight:
