New Politics staff spent a week together in Washington to close out 2023, reflect, and set our sights on what’s ahead. As a valued member of our team, we wanted to make sure to provide you with an exclusive debrief on what happened during our retreat…

We started our retreat with 3 themes:

1️⃣ Reflect and analyze all we accomplished in 2023

2️⃣ Fortify ourselves and prepare for 2024, which is going to be a big year

3️⃣ Celebrate the season and all our successes together 🎉

All of our sessions were led by our staff – it was great to learn with and from each other! We truly took advantage of having space and time together to analyze our performance, reflect on our success, plan for the coming months and assess our capacity and ability to support servant leaders going forward.

One of my favorite moments of the weekend was an exercise where each of us wrote letters to our November 2024 self. I know I’ll be excited to hear from my past self after the election results are in. And writing these letters while envisioning next Election Day certainly heightened all of our focus and desire to elect leaders who will put politics aside and get things done for all of us.

We’ll be posting more of the inside scoop from last week’s retreat on New Politics’ social media, so be sure you are following on Facebook [[link removed]] and X (Twitter), [[link removed]] be sure you are following:

We’ll also follow up in the coming weeks to discuss our 2024 strategic priorities and plans. Until then, if you are able, please consider a donation to help us activate all we mapped out during our retreat. [[link removed]]

Thanks for being a part of the team,

New Politics--

New Politics supports outstanding military veterans and national service leaders, alumni of programs like AmeriCorps and the Peace Corps, to step up and serve our country again, this time through politics. We were proud to be behind the movement of veterans who ran for office for the first time in 2018, and we have big plans to grow into the future.
