Hello Friends of 5 Gyres,

We’re not cleaning up the ocean, but we ARE working on solutions that will reduce the most common microplastic found in the environment – microfibers.

You may not think of the clothing you’re wearing right now as a form of plastic pollution, but plastic microfibers shed from our clothes when we wear them, wash them, and dry them, ultimately ending up in the environment. And these fibers aren’t limited to just the ocean – they are pervasive in our air, food, water sources, and even our own bodies.

Although tiny, microfibers pose a big problem for our planet. But with your support, we’re up for the challenge. Join us on this journey and support our efforts to take the pollution out of parkas!

Cheers to a plastic-free wardrobe,
