URGENT: Tell Congress to pass the Families First Coronavirus Response
Act now!

[link removed]

Hi
John,

During this time of great uncertainty, disruption and change, I want you to know that the National Partnership is working tirelessly to make sure that those living on the economic margins are not forgotten in our nation's coronavirus response.

Central to achieving that goal is addressing the tragic fact that more than 32 million private sector workers have NO PAID SICK DAYS!

We're speaking with reporters all across the country to expose our country's failure to ensure working people have adequate time away from work to care for themselves and their loved ones.

And we're helping to lead a coalition of more than 140 organizations working with Congressional leaders to center our nation's response on those harmed most by this failure; women of color, workers with lower incomes, and individuals who work in service industries and are therefore more vulnerable to contagion.

Our collective efforts paid off this week when Speaker Nancy Pelosi unveiled the Families First Coronavirus Response Act - critical legislation that would provide emergency paid sick days and paid leave, extend the use of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) for public health emergencies, provide critical coverage for parents and caregivers in the event that schools and other facilities are closed, and much, much more.

John, we need your help to make sure every member of congress hears overwhelmingly from their constituents at this critical time.

Take action: Tell congress to pass the Families First Coronavirus Response Act now!

Thanks for all that you do.

Debra Ness
President
