U.S. Access Board Webinar: Sporting: The Spectator?s Experience

For thousands of years, people have been gathering at stadiums to watch sports. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) Standards [ [link removed] ] specify accessibility requirements to ensure inclusion for all spectators and enabling everyone to experience one of civilization?s oldest pastimes. The next webinar in the U.S. Access Board's free monthly series will take place Thursday, January 4 from 2:30 ? 4:00 p.m. (ET). The presenters of this webinar will cover the spectator?s experience at sporting events from a youth soccer game to the World Cup. Seating, assistive listening systems, ticketing/concessions, and access to areas of sport activity will all be addressed.

For more information or to register, visit Great Lakes ADA Center?s Sporting: The Spectator?s Experience webinar webpage [ [link removed] ]. All webinars include video remote interpreting (VRI) and real-time captioning. Questions can be submitted in advance of the session or can be posed during the live webinar. Webinar attendees can earn continuing education credits. The webinar series is hosted by the ADA National Network [ [link removed] ] in cooperation with the Board. Archived copies [ [link removed] ] of previous Board webinars are available on the site.
