We wanted to take a minute to communicate with our supporters about how our campaign is doing our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

We are suspending all in person canvassing and meet and greet events. We cannot in good faith put our supporters at risk, despite being at such a critical point in our campaign.

So we wanted to take the chance to remind you of the steps you can take to protect yourself and others from the spread of COVID-19.

How to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19:

Wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds
Avoid large crowds
Do not touch your face
Cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue, and then immediately discard the tissue and wash your hands
Stay inside when you're sick, except to seek medical care
Wear a face mask if you are sick
Disinfect surfaces touched by multiple people
Try to stay at least six feet away from people if you do leave your home

Like so many, Nabilah is uninsured after having to cancel her insurance to continue to run for office -- putting her at risk should she be exposed to the virus.

This public health crisis has shined a light on the immediate need for progressive policies like Medicare for All and paid sick leave -- too many people can't afford to go to the doctor or take time off work, making this virus spread faster.

It's never been more crucial that we fill Congress with people who advocate for policies that protect us in crises like this.

We'll keep doing all we can to fight for these policies,

Team Nabilah
