Hi, it's Gavin Newsom.

I’m about to ask you to make a contribution to Alex Padilla and help hold our Democratic majority in the Senate.

But first, I want to explain why it’s so important that we keep Mitch McConnell and the GOP out of power.

Here’s the truth:

Republicans don’t give a damn about protecting kids and they are certainly not "pro-life."

If they were interested in life, they wouldn’t cut child hunger programs.

If they were interested in life, they wouldn’t allow guns, of all things, to be the leading cause of death for our kids.

And if they were interested in life, they wouldn't — once again — be attempting to take away people’s health care through the Affordable Care Act.

They call themselves "pro-life." Spare me.

Here’s a refresher on what a "pro-life" agenda ACTUALLY looks like:

gun safety laws
taking action on climate change
healthcare for all
expanding pre-natal care
expanding mental healthcare
expanding childcare
universal preschool

Look, Republicans will not stop until they can repeal the Affordable Care Act and take away people’s health care — they even tried it during the midst of a global pandemic.

That is what’s at stake with our Senate majority, and that is why it’s so important that we have the resources to take the fight to the GOP, in California and across the country.
