Folks — Tom Horne is using his position to gut dual language programs, putting multilingual students at risk of falling behind. Will you sign on right now and support dual language programs in Arizona public schools? [[link removed]]

Bilingual education programs are critical to ensure we’re meeting students where they are and giving them the best pathway for their success.

However, State Superintendent Tom Horne is hellbent on putting students in English only classrooms, despite a student's comprehension of the language.

The evidence shows that the four-hour English instruction mandate caused students to fall behind in other important subjects like math and science. Teachers have reported that the four-hour mandate doesn’t allow students enough time for math during the day, forcing kids to stay after school to meet the state minimum requirements in subjects like math.

Horne’s mission to gut dual language programs leaves students behind their peers and socially isolated from their non-English Language Learning friends — all to satisfy a conservative, right-wing agenda that removes dual language instruction entirely.

Will you add your right now to stand up for dual language programs in Arizona’s schools? [[link removed]]
