Hi John,

Maximus is a multibillion-dollar federal contractor that runs the call centers for Medicare and the Affordable Care Act.

Federal call center workers at Maximus, who are mostly women and people of color, have been fighting for better pay, working conditions and a union for years. These brave workers are standing together to demand that the Biden administration and Xavier Becerra, secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), take action to turn their low-wage, dead-end jobs into good jobs that support families and communities.

There is an event near you to support these workers. Will you join us in Washington, D.C.?

WHO: Federal call center workers from across the country
WHERE:

HHS headquarters

200 Independence Ave. SW

Washington, DC

WHEN: Dec. 12, 2023, at 11 a.m.

In Solidarity,

Team AFL-CIO

P.S. You can also sign their letter to HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Chiquita Brooks-LaSure asking them to raise pay and investigate Maximus’ labor practices.
