Please help us win for wildlife in 2020.

John,

Policies that protect wildlife and the habitats they depend on are under assault by the Trump Administration.

For the past three years, this White House has targeted millions of acres of habitat across our wild, public lands for mining, oil and gas development. Efforts are underway to lift clean water protections from wetlands and streams crucial for the survival of our most vulnerable species. And John, they are even trying to eliminate your right to publicly speak out in defense of wildlife.

We’re launching a comprehensive counterattack to stop these assaults on our wildlife. Will you help with $30 or whatever you can spare?

Recent plans to allow mining and drilling in previously protected wild lands will be a devastating blow to the pristine habitats and countless species of Utah’s Bears Ears and Grand Staircase Escalante national monuments, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and in our coastal waters. Add on top of that the charge to dismantle our clean water protections, which will lead to unchecked toxic pollutants flowing into streams and the destruction of fragile wetlands.

An alarming number of proposed policies and rules from the federal administration are taking us in the wrong direction for wildlife. The thousands of letters sent, calls made, and petitions signed over the past few months from people like you have helped sound the alarm. But this is the year to ramp up our efforts for struggling species to give them a chance for survival.

There has never been a more important time to support our work to elect wildlife champions in the upcoming 2020 election. Give today to double down on our fight to stop the assault on wildlife and their habitats.

Some of our detailed, science-based plans are already in motion, John. In the halls of Congress, state houses, local councils, and maybe even your hometown, we’re championing conservation initiatives everywhere that will make an immediate difference for wildlife in communities like yours. We’ve also vetted and endorsed more than twenty candidates in this year’s election for their commitment to our fight for wildlife conservation and recovery.

Our work extends from coast-to-coast and beyond, from your local park to Alaska’s Tongass National Forest, and from the peaks of mountains to the ocean floor. We’re working for all wildlife, from the monarch butterfly to the mighty bison and everything in between. There is so much to do and so much at stake in 2020—that’s why we’re reaching out for your help and your $30 to ensure every program and initiative can be executed.

With your help, 2020 will be the year of wins for wildlife. Without support from friends of wildlife like you, we can’t achieve our goals.

Thank you for giving generously to help us turn our plans to stop the assault on wildlife into action.

With gratitude,

Karla Raettig
