Dear  john,

Last week, the Capitol Christmas tree arrived from West Virginia, and Speaker Mike Johnson hosted a tree lighting ceremony in preparation for Christmas. As always, if you and your family are visiting D.C., please reach out to my office for assistance with  tickets and tours

The Week in Weaponized Government

On the anniversary of the release of the Twitter Files, the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government held a hearing to expose and root out the Censorship Industrial Complex’s scheme to work with foreign entities to help propagandize the American people.

Journalists Michael Shellenberger and Matt Taibbi, who have tirelessly reported on Big Tech and Big Government’s entwining efforts to censor Americans, returned to Congress to testify before the committee.

The American people’s civil liberties, with the First Amendment at the fore, must always reign supreme over the security state’s designs.

Michael Shellenberger’s latest reporting brought to light another disturbing aspect of the Censorship Industrial Complex: the Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) League, a group comprising some of the key players pushing for global censorship with the help of the US Military.

WATCH: Two key players pushing for the global Censorship Industrial Complex say the quiet parts out loud in this 2019 podcast interview. Here are some of their most sinister admissions.

The CTIL’s public admissions are chilling, and its network has only grown stronger in the four years since. These discoveries are just the tip of the iceberg, and I will continue devoting myself to protecting every American’s civil rights.

Last week, the Weaponization Subcommittee also subpoenaed two former White House advisors who had key roles in censoring information related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Committee also released the YouTube files, exposing even more collusion between the government and Big Tech to suppress dissenting viewpoints.

Protecting Due Process

Last week, the House voted to expel now-former Congressman George Santos. Though Santos is charged with multiple federal crimes, he has not yet been convicted of any of these charges. In America, you are still innocent until proven guilty.

Prior to last week, only two Members of Congress have been expelled since the Civil War. Both of those Members were convicted in a court of law and were sentenced for their crimes.

Mark my words - this vote will set a dangerous precedent, and I see no reason why the resolution’s sponsors broke with 234 years of precedent.  I voted against the expulsion, which will do untold damage to the People’s House.
