As pro-abortion groups launch evil and innovative campaigns in Texas to target preborn babies, elected officials failed to address the scourge of illegal abortions and simultaneously underfunded the life-saving Alternatives to Abortion program (now known as the Thriving Texas Families program).

However, this year’s most notable victory was a reform to protect hospital patients. House Bill 3162 by Chairwoman Stephanie Klick ([link removed]) restored more rights for Texans whose life-and-death medical decisions are threatened. The policy was the most significant improvement ever to the Texas 10-Day Rule and the Texas Advance Directives Act.
