Friend,

Cartels, smugglers, and human traffickers are profiting off immigrants and taking advantage of our asylum laws. We need to fix these loopholes so that criminals can no longer take advantage of the American taxpayers or our country's goodwill.

It's past time that Congress do something to fix our broken immigration system. That's why I pushed for a vote last week in the Senate Judiciary Committee on my legislation that will fix our broken asylum laws.

So far, Democrats have been unwilling to work with us to find a solution. In fact, when I tried to hold a committee hearing to discuss the legislation, Democrats boycotted the first meeting to keep us from having a quorum to vote.

When the committee met a second time, I forced a vote. My legislation is now headed for consideration by the entire U.S. Senate. Friend, I am doing what I can to solve this crisis, and I refuse to back down.

Senate panel advances asylum bill over Democratic objections

U.S. immigration officials have told me that my legislation, if enacted, would reduce approximately 90% of the flow of illegal immigrants overnight.  But I want to know, Friend, do you support a commonsense immigration fix like this?

It's time for Democrats to end the partisan grandstanding in Washington and help us solve this issue, especially since it's both a humanitarian and national security crisis.

Friend, it's critical that I know you're with me on this issue, so please let me hear from you today.

Sincerely,

Lindsey Graham

P.S. The Democrats have refused to work with me to fix the crisis at our border. Friend, do you support a commonsense immigration fix to our asylum laws?
