Dear John -
Today is Giving Tuesday, a global movement that inspires people to give generously to transform their communities and support the causes that matter to them the most. We're asking people like you for immediate support to preserve America’s Wilderness - the Boundary Waters.
DONATE NOW [[link removed]]
Our work together has never been more important than it is right now. The Boundary Waters continues to face dire threats from toxic sulfide-ore copper mining proposed next to the Wilderness.

Twin
Metals,
a
subsidiary
of
Antofagasta,
received
the
green
light
to
conduct
dangerous
exploratory
drilling
near
the
Boundary
Waters
on
Birch
Lake.
This
is
a
preliminary
step
to
advance
a
mine
UNDER
Birch
Lake.
This
type
of
mining
is
especially
dangerous
and
risks
collapse
and
upstream
contamination
that
would
flow
directly
into
the
Boundary
Waters’
pristine
waters.

Despite
our
legal
victory
in
September,
Twin
Metals
is
relentless
in
its
pursuit
to
revive
its
toxic
mine
project
and
recently
filed
to
reverse
our
legal
victory.
As
the
lead
organization
in
the
fight
against
Twin
Metals,
we
fought
tooth
and
nail
to
prevent
the
company
from
resurrecting
its
rejected
sulfide-ore
copper
mine
in
the
watershed
of
the
Boundary
Waters.

Right
now,
Representative
Stauber
and
his
friends
in
Congress
are
actively
working
to
reverse
the
20-year
mining
ban
issued
earlier
this
year
and
reinstate
permits
to
Antofagasta
that
were

canceled
in
2022.
The Boundary Waters is an iconic national – and international – public lands treasure. And toxic mining has no place next to America's most visited Wilderness. That's why your gift today matters so much. [[link removed]]
Did you know that almost 80% of the gifts we raised last year came from individuals giving $100 or less? This is proof that people fuel our movement and there is power in numbers - even a gift of $5 will significantly impact our favorite Wilderness. Can you make a gift today to protect the Boundary Waters? [[link removed]]
