Enjoy a groundbreaking, stigma-busting theatre experience for only $10 at A is For’s 3rd annual all it takes is ONE ACT Festival, the culmination of our 2023 Playwriting Contest.

Join us on Saturday, December 9th and Sunday, December 10th at Signature Theatre in NYC for readings of our winning one-act plays about reproductive justice. Each reading is only $10 and all proceeds will benefit A is For. Below is the festival schedule:

Saturday, December 9th at 11AM
3rd Place:[the feminine urge to disappear] by Anna Watts, directed by Claire Karpen

Saturday, December 9th at 5 PM
2nd Place:Cath Carroll by Ken Urban, directed by Knud Adams

1st Place:the wish: a manual for a last-ditch effort to save abortion in the united states through theater by Justice Hehir, Dena Igusti, Phanésia Pharel, Nia Akilah Robinson, and Julia Specht, directed by Lisa Rothe

There will be a moderated talkback with the playwright(s) after each reading.
